Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically working on industrial projects. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.

You will work closely with the design, construction, and project management teams, ensuring the successful implementation of quality management systems, conducting inspections, performing tests on construction materials, and generating detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

• Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) across construction projects.
• Perform regular inspections and audits on-site to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct risk assessments and support the identification of potential quality issues.

Material Testing and Compliance

• Supervise and conduct testing on materials such as concrete, soil, and other construction materials to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Ensure concrete curing, soil compaction, and other critical quality processes are adhered to as per project requirements.

Collaboration and Support

• Coordinate with the design and construction teams to address any quality-related concerns.
• Assist in reviewing project documents such as CA, BOQ, and technical drawings to ensure that quality requirements are incorporated.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and maintain accurate quality assurance documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and audit findings.

• Assist in generating reports for stakeholders detailing the status of quality assurance processes.

Claims and Variations

• Support the team in handling variations and claims associated with quality assurance issues.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including the National Building Code (NBC) and relevant local regulations.
• Assist in maintaining certification documentation and regulatory compliance for audits.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and suggesting improvements in processes and materials testing.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Quality Control, or a related field.

Experience: 3-6 years of experience in quality assurance within the construction industry, especially in industrial projects.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and material testing.
• Familiarity with the National Building Code (NBC) and other relevant standards.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD for analyzing and interpreting construction drawings.

Certifications:

Professional certification in quality assurance or construction management (preferred but not required).

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues early in the process.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various project teams.
