Job Title: DGM – Corporate Communications & Government Liaison

Location: New Delhi

Role Overview

The role involves leading corporate communication strategies, managing external and internal communication channels, and building strong relationships with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, and regulatory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Communications

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage corporate branding, media relations, press releases, interviews, and public statements.
  • Draft high-quality content including speeches, presentations, newsletters, and corporate reports.
  • Lead crisis communication planning and response to protect brand reputation.
  • Oversee internal communications to ensure employee alignment and engagement.
  • Manage social media communication strategy and oversee digital communication campaigns.

Government Liaison / External Affairs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with central, state, and local government officials, regulatory bodies, and public sector institutions.
  • Monitor relevant policy changes, government notifications, and regulatory developments impacting the organization.
  • Represent the company in meetings with government departments, industry associations, and statutory authorities.
  • Prepare policy briefs, advocacy documents, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate approvals, licenses, and clearances through proper documentation and government coordination.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with key external stakeholders including media, community leaders, business chambers, partners, and agencies.
  • Manage communication agencies, PR agencies, and other external vendors.
  • Organize corporate events, public forums, and government-focused initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, PR, or government liaison.
  • Strong network across relevant government departments and industry bodies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in policy advocacy, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage crisis communication and high-visibility corporate matters.
  • Master’s degree in Communications, Public Policy, Public Relations, Management, or related fields preferred.
