QA Tester

MERP Systems is urgently looking to add a Lead Tester to our team! As the Lead Tester, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the testing activities within the software development lifecycle. Your primary objective is to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of software products before their release to end-users. You will lead a team of testers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as developers, product managers, and project managers, to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive test strategies for each software project, considering the project requirements, risk assessments, and deadlines.
• Test Planning: Develop detailed test plans and schedules that outline testing scope, methodologies, resources required, and timelines.
• Test Case Design: Design and review test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
• Test Execution: Lead and coordinate the testing team in executing test cases and conducting different testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Defect Management: Identify and track software defects, collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution, and maintain a structured defect tracking system.
• Test Automation: Advocate and implement test automation strategies to increase testing efficiency and repeatability, utilizing appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor the testing team, provide guidance, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and product owners, to report test progress, issues, and potential risks.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance the testing process, methodologies, and tools to improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for future reference and compliance purposes.
• Training and Skill Development: Identify training needs and organize workshops or training sessions to enhance the testing team's skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software testing, with a track record of leading successful testing efforts.
• Strong understanding of different testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
