QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer with around 1 year of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through manual and/or automated testing, reporting defects, and collaborating closely with the development team to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  
• Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, or backend applications.
  
• Perform different types of testing such as functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and UI testing.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely bug resolution.
  
• Contribute to test data creation and environment setup.
  
• (If applicable) Execute basic automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Postman, JUnit/TestNG, etc.
  
• Participate in QA process improvements, sprint planning, and daily standups.
  
• Ensure that product releases meet defined quality standards.

Required Skills

• 1 year of experience in software QA/testing (manual and/or automation).
  
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and bug life cycle.
  
• Experience writing clear test cases and test documentation.
  
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Selenium, or similar (based on the role).
  
• Basic knowledge of API testing and SQL queries is a plus.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  
• Basic understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git).
  
• Knowledge of automation frameworks or scripting languages (Java/Python/JavaScript).
  
• Experience with mobile application testing.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
