Job Description

Role: Software QA Engineer — Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Full-time)

About The Opportunity

A firm operating in the Digital Product & SaaS sector building enterprise web, mobile and e-commerce applications. The team delivers customer-facing and internal platforms using Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines and modern test automation to ensure high-quality releases and rapid feature delivery. We are looking for a detail-oriented QA professional who can combine hands-on testing with project coordination to drive reliable product outcomes.Role & Responsibilities

Review requirements and define test strategy, plans, scenarios and clear test cases for web, mobile and API features.
Execute functional manual tests, regression suites and API checks; log, triage and track defects through closure using Jira.
Develop, maintain and extend automated test scripts and automation frameworks (Selenium-based) to improve coverage and reliability.
Perform cross-browser and parallel execution testing, including use of Selenium Grid or cloud-based testing platforms to validate UI behaviour.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to reproduce, prioritize and verify fixes; participate in sprint ceremonies and release gates.
Support project coordination: assist with scope definition, timelines, task allocation, status reporting and stakeholder communication to enable on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
4+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience with exposure to project coordination or management.
Proven experience testing web, mobile (hybrid/native) and e-commerce applications across the SDLC.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience contributing in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
