QA Automation Engineer
in
India
.In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining high-quality, scalable software used by teams around the world. You will work closely with frontend, backend, product, and design teams to ensure features are delivered with reliability and performance in mind. The position offers strong ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from early discovery through deployment. You will balance both manual and automated testing while helping continuously improve testing strategies and tooling. Working in a remote-first, globally distributed environment, collaboration and communication are key. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering an exceptional user experience at scale.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases across web and API layers.
- Participate actively in product planning, contributing quality insights from discovery through deployment.
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, product, and design teams to validate new features and enhancements.
- Continuously identify, report, and help resolve defects while improving overall test coverage and reliability.
- Validate APIs, data flows, and integrations using appropriate testing tools and SQL queries when needed.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated tests are integrated into deployment workflows.
- Ensure a high-quality, reliable experience for customers by maintaining strong quality standards throughout development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with strong exposure to both automation and manual testing.
- Solid understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and documentation practices such as test plans and test design.
- Strong programming experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with test frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Mocha, or Jest.
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar libraries.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD processes and modern development workflows.
- Familiarity with work item tracking tools such as Jira and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, multicultural teams.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
