Python Backend Developer (Remote - India)This remote role is open at Cognisol and is ideal for hands-on backend engineers who write robust Python services, build production-ready APIs, and ship reliable systems in an Agile environment.Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
• Implement clean, well-tested code with unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Integrate and optimise SQL and NoSQL data stores (Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB) for performance and reliability.
• Containerise applications and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues, profile performance bottlenecks, and implement robust monitoring/alerting patterns.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams in an Agile process to deliver features on schedule.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• 3+ years of professional Python backend development experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs/microservices and working with relational and document databases.
• Strong testing and version-control practices (pytest, unit tests, Git) and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, debugging, performance optimisation, and working in Agile teams.
• Preferred:
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), message queuing (Celery/RabbitMQ/Kafka), and observability tools.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform/ IaC, and production-grade deployment/monitoring patterns.
