Job Description

As a Procurement Officer, your role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services in line with organizational requirements. Your responsibilities include: - Source, negotiate, and purchase materials/services to avoid project delays or stockouts. - Maintain purchase records, track orders, and manage vendor relationships. - Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable supplier base, ensuring proper documentation and certifications. - Compare and analyze price proposals, negotiate best prices and terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. - Coordinate with the stores/warehouse team to monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requisitions. - Ensure goods received match specifications, coordinate with QC/technical teams for inspection, and comply with procurement policies. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery timelines, and prepare regular reports on purchase activities. - Utilize procurement software or ERP systems for managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring data accuracy and regular updates.
