Purchase Officer

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services essential to our operations. Responsibilities

• Manage and process purchase orders using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including order tracking and supplier performance
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth movement of materials and supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and anticipate procurement needs to prevent shortages
• Assist in evaluating supplier options and conducting market research for cost-effective sourcing
• Support the supply chain team in implementing procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout all purchasing activities

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Zoho ,ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms
• Organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
• Good communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively within a team
• Prior experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates interested in developing their skills in supply chain management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹24,420.00 - ₹38,695.01 per year
