Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, vendor development, imports, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing of materials while maintaining strong supplier relationships and adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, prepare cost comparisons, and release purchase orders.
• Develop and evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, and ensure consistent supply.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost, and delivery adherence.
• Coordinate import processes including documentation, customs, and logistics.
• Maintain inventory levels, conduct stock reconciliations, and generate reports.
• Support cost reduction initiatives, kaizens, and process improvements.
• Represent purchase function during internal, customer, and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and safety standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and inventory control.
• Experience in imports and logistics coordination.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
