Job Title: Purchase Manager – Lead Acid Battery Recycling Unit Company: Greystone Ventures Pvt Ltd Location: Haldia, West Bengal (Factory Unit) About the Company: Greystone Ventures Pvt Ltd is a leading player in the sustainable energy and battery recycling industry. Our factory in Haldia specializes in the environmentally responsible recycling of lead-acid batteries using modern rotary furnaces and refining units. We are committed to operational excellence, safety, and compliance. Job Overview: We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement and supply chain management for our lead-acid battery recycling plant. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial procurement, preferably in metal, recycling, or chemical manufacturing sectors. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end procurement operations for the factory. Identify and negotiate with reliable suppliers for raw materials, consumables, spares, and capital goods. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production teams to ensure optimal stock. Develop vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance regularly. Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production downtime. Implement and monitor procurement budgets, ensuring cost efficiency. Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety, and environmental norms. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data. Collaborate with Accounts, Stores, and Production departments for smooth operational flow. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management / Engineering / Commerce or related field. MBA preferred. Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in industrial procurement, preferably in recycling, metal, or chemical plants. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, liaising). Work Environment: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our factory in Haldia. Requires regular interaction with factory staff, suppliers, and transport/logistics partners. Salary: As per industry standards and experience.
