Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee and manage our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining relationships with vendors, ensuring timely procurement of quality materials, and optimizing costs without compromising standards. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Develop and implement purchasing strategies in line with company goals. Identify reliable suppliers and maintain long-term relationships. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors. Evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery time, pricing, and responsiveness). Purchase Planning & Execution Collaborate with planning, production, and stores teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and consumables. Review purchase indents and convert them into POs after validation. Track purchase order status and ensure on-time delivery of materials. Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor market trends and price fluctuations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality. Prepare and manage purchase budgets and periodic procurement reports. Vendor Management & Development Conduct vendor audits, onboarding, and evaluations. Resolve supplier grievances and claims against suppliers. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in procurement contracts. Coordination& Documentation Ensure proper documentation of POs, invoices, delivery challans, and quality inspection reports. Coordinate with the accounts department for timely vendor payments. Work with logistics and quality teams to resolve delivery or quality issues. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Commerce / Engineering or related field. MBA in Operations or SCM preferred. Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchasing in a manufacturing company. Experience with ERP systems and strong knowledge of purchase documentation. Skills Required: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Analytical thinking and cost-control orientation. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person Application Deadline: 22/06/2025 Expected Start Date: 20/06/2025
