Job Summary: The Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services essential to company operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing of all materials and services as required by the business, while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals. Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment. Source reliable suppliers and build strong supplier relationships. Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with vendors and suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply issues or discrepancies. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Finance) to determine purchasing needs. Conduct regular evaluations and audits of vendors and procurement systems. Forecast demand and inventory requirements to minimize excess stock and shortages.
