Job Title: Purchase Head

Industry: Steel door manufacturing.

Location: Kadampuzha, Malappuram

Job Summary:

The Vendor Purchase Head is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process — from identifying and evaluating vendors to ensuring timely and cost-effective purchase of materials and services as per production and inventory requirements. The role requires strong negotiation, coordination, and documentation skills to maintain smooth purchasing operations and vendor relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers for raw materials and hardware.

Review and process purchase requests received from the Inventory Controller based on production and stock requirements.

Discuss major purchase decisions, vendor selections, and price approvals with senior management or authorized personnel.

Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure best value procurement.

Maintain and update vendor records, contracts, and purchase documentation.

Coordinate with inventory, accounts, and production departments for smooth supply flow and payment processing.

Ensure timely follow-up and delivery of ordered goods to avoid production delays.

Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or other related fields.

Experience:

1-2 years of Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management (manufacturing sector preferred).

Skills Required:

Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
