Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and source reliable suppliers/vendors for civil construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, plumbing, electrical, tiles, etc.).
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create purchase orders and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores to understand material requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and price lists.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely purchases to avoid delays in project execution.
• Ensure quality standards are met as per technical specifications.
• Track and manage procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
• Resolve vendor complaints and supply-related issues.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchase activities, pricing trends, and vendor performance.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of civil construction materials and market rates
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Tally, etc.)
• Vendor management and sourcing expertise
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a construction or real estate company
• Hands-on experience in site coordination and material planning
