Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing & Vendor Management

Identify and Evaluate new suppliers, vendors, and contractors for construction materials (cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, finishing materials, etc.), office supplies, and professional services.

Conduct Market Research to stay informed on current pricing, market trends, and availability of key construction materials in the local and national market.

Establish and Maintain strong, long-term relationships with a reliable vendor network.

Perform regular audits and reviews of vendor performance to ensure quality and adherence to terms.

2. Negotiation & Procurement

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve the best possible value and cost savings.

Process accurate Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with agreed-upon terms, company policy, and budget allocations.

Coordinate with the technical and site teams to clarify material specifications and quality requirements before placing orders.

3. Logistics & Inventory Control

Track all purchase orders from placement to final delivery at the site to ensure materials arrive on time and prevent project delays.

Coordinate with the site store-in-charge to monitor inventory levels and usage rates, preventing both stock-outs and overstocking.

Verify the quality and quantity of materials upon receipt against the PO and specifications.

4. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain comprehensive and updated records of all purchases, price comparisons, quotations, contracts, and vendor data.

Review and process vendor invoices for payment, coordinating closely with the Accounts/Finance department.

Ensure all procurement activities adhere to statutory compliance, company policies, and ethical standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related technical field (e.g., Civil Engineering) is often preferred.

Experience: Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in a procurement/purchasing role, ideally within the real estate or construction industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data analysis and reporting) and experience with an ERP/Tally/procurement software.

Strong analytical and cost-control abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11,508.43 - ₹35,014.99 per month
