Job Title: Project Manager - Strategic Global Projects
Role Overview:
The Project Manager - Strategic Global Projects will be responsible for managing and supporting a range of strategic global initiatives with a focus on cross-functional coordination, stakeholder communication, milestone tracking, and operational delivery. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Focus Areas:
India Campus Operations
- Drive the strategic planning, implementation, and successful launch of the India campus by ensuring academic and administrative readiness.
- Build and manage vendor and partner relationships that support long-term operational sustainability.
- Anticipate interdependencies across departments and align stakeholders to meet critical launch milestones.
- Establish frameworks for ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement of campus operations.
Global Learning Centers (GLCs)
- Provide strategic oversight and project management for the establishment and scaling of 4+0 partnerships in China, Kazakhstan, and other emerging markets.
- Collaborate with institutional leadership, academic units, and global partners to ensure alignment with broader institutional goals and internationalization strategy.
- Develop standardized processes and playbooks for launching and operating new GLCs to ensure consistency, quality assurance, and scalability across geographies.
- Monitor global trends and proactively identify opportunities for future expansion and innovation in global learning delivery.
Other Global Projects as Assigned
- Support the Office of International Affairs and senior leadership in advancing high-priority international initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration for projects that strengthen the institution’s global footprint, enhance student mobility, and expand international partnerships.
- Provide strategic insights, risk assessments, and recommendations that inform executive decision-making.
- Ensure that global projects are executed with long-term sustainability, operational efficiency, and institutional impact in mind.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and budgets; escalate risks or delays as needed.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Serve as liaison between internal departments (Academic Affairs, Legal, Finance, Enrollment, Admissions, Student Affairs, Facilities) and external stakeholders.
- Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and monitor implementation.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and next steps.
- Maintain well-organized project documentation, workflows, and tracking systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Business, Project Management, Higher Education Administration).
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in higher education, international operations, or global partnership contexts.
- Experience working in US higher education setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with global partners across cultures and time zones.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
