Role & responsibilities

Role Overview
We are seeking a pro-active, motivated and adaptable problem solver to join our PMO team as a Strategic Project Manager. This role is ideal for someone with an engineering background, solid project coordination or early project management experience who is ready to step up and lead technology-related initiatives across the business.You will work closely with sales, engineering, and other teams, to drive key strategic projects. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, explore better ways of working, and solve problems with creativity and persistence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage engineering-related strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Challenge and offer improvements in existing processes through innovation to drive business growth.Partner with sales, engineering, and cross-functional teams at both local and global levels to coordinate activities and ensure stakeholder alignment.Develop project charters, plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring clear accountability and deliverables.Identify gaps, propose interventions, and proactively follow up with stakeholders to remove roadblocks.Prepare executive-ready reports, presentations, and dashboards summarizing progress, risks, and recommendations.Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and challenges in processes, and propose practical, value-adding solutions.Track and report project performance using PMO standards and tools.Drive stakeholder engagement through clear and professional communication.Support PMO process improvements and the adoption of best practices for project governance.

Requirements

Critical Competencies for Success
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business management or related.5-9 years' experience in project management, coordination, or related roles (technology-related projects preferred).Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) - strongly preferredStrong problem-solving mindset with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working.Good knowledge of products, engineering and processes, with good business acumen.Curious and proactive attitudeAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new systems, technologies, and business contexts.Good organizational and planning skills, able to manage multiple priorities.Collaborative team player with the ability to work across different geographies, cultures, and functionsProven experience managing multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in ambiguous situations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to the audience.Familiarity with PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet. Jira, or similar).Exposure to working in cross-functional and multi-level environments.
