🌱 Hiring: Carbon Project Associate (Agroforestry & Carbon Credits) 📍 Location: Delhi-NCR | 🕐 Full-Time | 🌍 Sector: Climate, Agroforestry, Carbon Markets Are you passionate about driving nature-based climate solutions and working with communities to implement impactful carbon projects? We’re looking for a Carbon Project Associate to lead the design and implementation of agroforestry-based carbon credit initiatives across India. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of agriculture, climate resilience, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Design and manage carbon credit projects in agroforestry across diverse geographies. Align project frameworks with international carbon standards (VERRA, Gold Standard, Article 6.4, etc.). Assess feasibility for GHG reduction and carbon sequestration potential. Lead community and stakeholder engagement sessions, especially with farmers and field partners. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for ground-level implementation. Develop comprehensive Project Design Documents (PDDs) in compliance with applicable methodologies. Interface with Validation & Verification Bodies (VVBs) for timely project validation and documentation. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of relevant experience in agroforestry, forestry, or climate projects. Graduate degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science , or related fields. Strong understanding of carbon project standards and PDD creation. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Passion for sustainability, climate action, and community-driven outcomes.
