Job Brief

We are looking for a reliable Project Manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from concept to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licences.
  • Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper project techniques.
  • Coordinate work with designers and other disciplines such as architectural, piping, mechanical, electrical, etc.
  • Manage all project activities including providing technical inputs for methodologies of project management and coordination with site management activities.
  • Ensure zero-defect works are executed at site.
  • Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven working experience in project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management processes, means, and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the project management process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including influencing ability.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in industrial projects is a must.
  • Experience in managing Civil, Structural, and MEP site activities.
  • Candidates working in an engineering consulting firm will be preferred.
  • Candidates from cleanroom plant engineering background shall be preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills using

    MS Office, MS Project, and Primavera tools

    is a must.
