This Position reports to: Directeur de l'ingénierie In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments. The work model for the role is #LI-Onsite. This role contributes to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries based in Bangalore, India. You will be mainly accountable for: Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Handling testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables. Assisting in preparing proposals/presentations for engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.). Supporting the Contract Manager in change management (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.). Creating work plans and cost estimates in your area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget, and schedule for assignments and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improving the effectiveness of work plans in collaboration with other functions. Completing Power Management System-related risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in your area of responsibility. Reporting any contract/quality/program/cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution. Using standard processes and tools applicable to your area of responsibility. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reporting process and tool inefficiencies and suggesting improvement ideas. Qualifications for the role Minimum 7 years’ experience in Substation Automation System or Power Management System (PMS) engineering and commissioning, covering functionalities such as primary equipment monitoring and control, load shedding, load sharing and synchronization. Experience in designing substation network architecture of control systems and control philosophy for process/power plants. Working knowledge of utility communication protocols like IEC 61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, TCP/IP, Prefab’s, Profinet, Fieldbus, SPA, convergence of OT/IT, cybersecurity, etc. Hands-on experience with application engineering tools for any DCS. Practical experience in configuring controllers, protocol gateways, and data concentrators on various communication protocols. Experience working with various manufacturer IEDs on IEC 61850 protocol, creating IEC, ICD, CID, and SCD files. Bachelor's degree (4 years) or equivalent experience, and willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 70% Valid international passport.
