Project Head

Job Summary: The Project Head will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing manufacturing and engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. This role is critical in overseeing all phases of technical project development, plant expansion, process improvement, and machinery installation or upgrades. The ideal candidate holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and has strong leadership and project management experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end execution of manufacturing and engineering projects – from concept to commissioning. Plan project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, production, maintenance, procurement, and quality. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all project phases. Review technical drawings, process layouts, and machinery specifications. Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement, installation, and service contracts. Monitor project progress and report key milestones and performance indicators to senior management. Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment during project execution. Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation across the team. Qualifications: Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). Experience: 8–15 years of relevant experience in project management within a manufacturing setup (e.g., automotive, heavy engineering, process industries, FMCG, etc.). Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant layout, equipment design, and installation. Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
