Job Description: Plant HR Head Position Title: Manager- HR Location: Jaisalmer, Rajasthan Department: Human Resources Reports To: Plant Head and BU HR Head Supervises : HR Team Position Overview: The Plant HR Head will be responsible for overseeing all human resource functions at the plant level. This includes contract labour management, statutory compliance, grievance resolution, manpower management, handling local issues, and adherence to corporate guidelines. The role also encompasses recruitment, implementation of Talent Management initiatives in coordination with Corporate HR and serving as an advisor on people-related matters. Key Responsibilities: Contract Labor Management: Ensure adherence to the rules and provisions of the CLRAA. Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and management of contract labour. Ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions. Maintain records and documentation for contract labour as per legal requirements. Liaise with contractors to address any issues related to contract labour. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all labour laws and regulations, including the Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Minimum Wages Act, and other relevant statutes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in labour laws and implement necessary adjustments. Manage audits and inspections by government authorities, internal auditors, and customers. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documents to government authorities on time. Grievance Management: Develop and implement effective grievance handling procedures. Address and resolve employee grievances in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct investigations and take appropriate disciplinary actions if required. Maintain a positive and open communication channel with employees. The issues if any arising relating to contract labour to be resolved through the respective contractors/agencies. Manpower Management: Plan and manage the workforce to meet production and operational requirements. Conduct workforce planning and forecasting in collaboration with Plant Head. Implement performance management systems to monitor and enhance employee performance. Facilitate training and development programs to upskill employees. Local Issue Management: Engage with local communities and authorities to address any issues affecting the plant. Ensure smooth operations by maintaining good relations with local stakeholders. Manage any local disputes or conflicts that may impact plant operations. Adherence to Corporate Guidelines: Ensure all HR practices and policies at the plant align with corporate guidelines. Implement corporate HR initiatives and programs at the plant level. Monitor and report on key HR metrics and KPIs to Corporate HR. Recruitment: Oversee the entire recruitment process for the plant, including job postings, interviewing, and selection. Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and requirements. Implement strategies to attract and retain top talent. Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives in coordination with Corporate HR. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Organize events and activities to boost employee morale and engagement. Advisor for People-Related Matters: Serve as a trusted advisor to plant management on HR and people-related matters. Provide guidance and support on performance management, employee relations, and development. Conduct training sessions and workshops as needed. Qualifications: MBA in Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations/MSW. Candidates with an LLB will be given preference. Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment. In-depth knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
