Role Description

The Construction Head is responsible for overall leadership and management of construction

projects, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality standards. This

role involves planning, resource allocation, team management, and collaboration with stakeholders

to drive successful project execution across multiple sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all construction activities from start to finish.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project goals
  • Oversee onsite and offsite construction operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams, providing direction and resolving issues.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and government officials to align project objectives.
  • Handle contract negotiations, procurement of materials, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of delays or disruptions.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement within the construction team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in construction management with proven leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
