About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor & Costing Associate to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for managing the financial, contractual, and technical aspects of our interior design consultancy and design-build projects. The role spans corporate office interiors, residential, and commercial fit-outs.

This role requires strong expertise in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, specifications, vendor negotiations, billing management, and site measurement verification.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & BOQ Development

Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates based on schematic and detailed drawings.

Define clear specifications and scope of works in line with design deliverables.

Prepare comparative costing sheets during design and budgeting stages.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations, finalize rates, and evaluate technical compliance.

Support in finalization of vendor contracts, rate agreements, and procurement timelines.

Commercial & Contractual Management

Track project budgets and update cost reports periodically during execution.

Prepare and issue work orders and subcontractor POs, aligned with design timelines and cost plans.

Negotiate with vendors and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Billing & Site Coordination

Conduct on-site measurement verification and prepare interim and final bills.

Certify contractor/vendor bills and support timely payment processes.

Maintain updated records of approved drawings, change orders, and work-in-progress.

Design Support & Value Engineering

Assist design teams with cost inputs during conceptualization and development.

Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize scope within budgets.

Support with cost breakdowns for alternate material proposals or change requests.

Candidate Requirements:

Solid understanding of interior materials, finishes, vendor ecosystem, and rate benchmarking.

Strong grasp of contracts, construction workflows, and vendor coordination.

Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and vendor interactions.

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and costing tools; working knowledge of ERP tools is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations.

Experience & Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in a QS / Costing profile, preferably with interior design or fit-out firms.

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Construction Management.

Experience in both design consultancy and design-build delivery models is preferred.

Prior work on workplace interiors, luxury residential, and commercial fit-out projects is highly desirable.

Location: Mumbai

Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Monday to Friday )

Travel: Required for site measurements, vendor meetings, and billing checks across project locations.

Availability: Immediate joiners or short notice preferred
