Project Estimator - Interior Fit outs

As an Associate Costing Specialist at Alcove Designs LLP, your role will involve managing the financial, contractual, and technical aspects of interior design consultancy and design-build projects. You will work on corporate office interiors, residential, and commercial fit-outs, requiring expertise in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, vendor negotiations, billing management, and site measurement verification. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates based on schematic and detailed drawings. - Define clear specifications and scope of works in line with design deliverables. - Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations, finalize rates, and evaluate technical compliance. - Track project budgets, update cost reports periodically, and negotiate with vendors and contractors for cost-effective solutions. - Conduct on-site measurement verification, prepare bills, and maintain records of approved drawings and change orders. - Assist design teams with cost inputs, participate in value engineering exercises, and support with cost breakdowns for material proposals or change requests. **Candidate Requirements:** - Solid understanding of interior materials, finishes, vendor ecosystem, and rate benchmarking. - Strong grasp of contracts, construction workflows, and vendor coordination. - Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and vendor interactions. - Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and costing tools; working knowledge of ERP tools is a plus. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations. **Experience & Qualifications:** - 3-5 years of experience in a QS / Costing profile, preferably with interior design or fit-out firms. - Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Construction Management. - Experience in both design consultancy and design-build delivery models is preferred. - Prior work on workplace interiors, luxury residential, and commercial fit-out projects is highly desirable.
