Project Engineer

Project Engineer In this role, your responsible to provide engineering and technological support, as well as sales support to the sales team for systems in order to reach the overall target in growing the Electric automation business. Responsibilities • Interpret customers’ RFQ and project specifications to prepare techno commercial proposals in a timely manner. • Work closely with cross-functional teams as well as sub-vendors to provide a complete and competitive technical solution. • To manage and request for quotations from sub-vendors and liaise with them for accurate and timely quotations • To propose alternative methods and equipment to achieve cost efficiency. • Concept visualisation & preparation for the application along with selection of components and preparation of BOM. • Selection of 3rd party standard material like energy chain, servo gearbox, other electric actuators (ball screw/belt etc.), technical comparison, price negotiation. • Preparation of project offers in proposal template. Co-ordination with design & assembly teams for smooth execution. • Feasibility study as per the sales/customer request. • Maintaining reports with reference to quotations and offers made. • Trials & testing of electric & pneumatic assembly as & when required. • Visit to customer if necessary to understand the application or render commissioning support. • Interrelate between quotation, design, assembly team for timely completion of projects. Our Requirements • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics with design/application engg. /sales /back-office /technical support background. • Experience in electric drives and pneumatics drives and Handling systems is required • Good fundamental engineering knowledge for design, component/ material selection etc & basically good knowledge on theory of machines, Torque, speed, stress, strain calculations, engineering analysis, material weight, volume calculation, estimation of custom designed bracket, housing, fabrication parts costs • Knowledge and usage of Festo products and Auto CADD, 3d modelling software added advantage • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in the factory automation industry. • Should be capable of effectively coordinating with co-workers to ensure task completion under any circumstances • Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
