Project Engineer

Project Engineer roles includes designing electrical systems, creating schematics and selecting components. They are responsible for ensuring designs meet safety and industry standards, developing prototypes, testing and troubleshooting designs, and preparing technical documentation. They also collaborate with other engineers, manage project timelines, and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:

• Design and develop electrical systems and circuits.
• Create detailed electrical schematics and layouts using CAD software
• Select appropriate electrical components and materials for projects.
• Conduct simulations and detailed calculations to analyze and verify the designs, appropriate electrical components and materials for projects.
• Knowledge of electrical component selection

2. Site Testing and Troubleshooting:

• Execute and document site acceptance tests (SAT) to validate system integration and operational performance.
• Diagnose and resolve functional issues encountered during system commissioning and field operations
• Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for operational incidents and manage standardized field testing protocols.

3. Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and electrical codes
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, bills of materials and reports.
• Maintain and update design records.

4. Collaboration and Project Management:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as mechanical and software engineers
• Participate in design reviews, project planning & manage project timelines.
• Review and provide input on design related issues and changes.
• Travel required on need basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.E/ B.Tech - Mechanical/ Electrical.
• Experience in electrical design engineering.
• Strong knowledge on electrical design, principles, codes and standards. (NEC, IEC).
• Proficiency in CAD software(AutoCAD/EPLAN) and electrical design tools.
• Good communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
