Project Accountant

You are a qualified Accountant/Financial Controller with a minimum of 5 years of career experience in accounting roles, specifically having at least 3 years of experience in project accounting within a construction company. You are detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong problem-solving skills to ensure financial efficiency in construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Accounting and Finance aspects of 3-4 Mumbai Projects for reputed clients. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project profitability by managing project financial operations, preparing financial statements, forecasts, managing accounting functions, and ensuring financial reporting compliance. Key responsibilities include overseeing site-level financial operations for real-time cost tracking and budget management, ensuring accurate and timely client billing as per contract terms, preparing cash flow forecasts for each site, identifying cost-saving opportunities, assisting in audits, managing vendor and subcontractor invoices, preparing monthly financial reports, and providing insights for improving financial efficiency. You should possess a CA Inter/MBA (Finance)/ICWA/M.Com qualification or a B.Com (Hons.) with a strong background in construction project accounting. Proficiency in construction ERP/software, knowledge of GST, TDS, WCT, and statutory compliance related to construction projects are essential. Additionally, you should have the ability to analyze BOQ, contracts, and project cost sheets for better financial control and collaborate effectively with site engineers, project managers, and vendors.
