Programme Manager

Role Overview: As a Programme Manager at NEC Software Solutions (India) Private Limited, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a significant Public Safety Programme. Your primary objective will be to achieve a quality programme implementation/delivery within the specified time and budget constraints for the assigned customers, while respecting other Programme team objectives. You will be managing and improving the P&L, including change, and ensuring the overall success of the Programme. This role may require you to work independently or with UK counterparts, represent the team during face-to-face meetings with customers, and manage communications from Mumbai, including conference calls. Travel to the UK for short durations may also be necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the programme, including resource allocation, prioritization, and scheduling to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards. - Align the Programme with NEC Programme Management processes and standards, and lead internal and customer boards as the Senior Delivery Owner. - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, collaborate with product managers, development teams, and executives to define programme goals and requirements. - Manage customer expectations, address concerns, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the product delivery lifecycle. - Collaborate with sales and business development teams to assess resource requirements for new opportunities and ensure accurate and competitive pricing. - Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues related to programme delivery, proactively managing and resolving issues to minimize impact. - Lead and manage project managers working on the programme, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and productivity. Qualification Required: - Masters in business administration or IT-related equivalent, or similar qualification or experience. - 5-8 years of relevant experience and a total of 10-15 years of experience. - Educated to degree level, preferably with a Masters in Business Administration or IT-related equivalent. - Experience in a complex IT service delivery environment, collaborative consortia, and delivering to demanding P&L targets. - Knowledge of IT-related professional qualifications, negotiation methods, financial aspects of complex programmes, and effective presentation skills at a senior level. - Personal qualities such as the ability to influence senior leaders, apply commercial practices, and develop win-win options. - Skills in communication, decision-making, client-facing, relationship building, and problem-solving to enhance organizational effectiveness and drive positive outcomes.
