Job Description

Brief:


The Senior Project Manager role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. They must ensure that projects adhere to the Datacom delivery methodology and are monitored according to the agreed standards as defined by the Datacom Group PMO as well as fundamentally always being delivered to the highest quality standard, within scope, in the budget, and on time.


Responsibilities:


  • involved with projects that are focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to the improvement of customer satisfaction through the use of technology.
  • may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, system integration, or consulting projects/engagements.
  • involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams.
  • management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests.
  • oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
  • assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • guidance and advice to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
  • activities of two or more sections or departments. Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.
  • methods and procedures for new assignments.
  • and maintain a strong, constructive working relationship with staff, focusing on achieving business goals, and enabling their staff to work safely to their full potential.

Expertise:


  • responsible for the achievement of the project delivery outcomes including scope control, budget, variation, schedule, resource, and risk/issue/change request management.
  • a professional relationship with Datacom’s customers and displaying the highest competency and professionalism whilst ensuring the achievement of project outcomes and the commercial integrity for Datacom is foremost in mind at all times.
  • Sales and Presales teams with bid management including response management, tracking and coordination, estimating project management activities, and margin analysis in collaboration with the Service Line Manager.
  • active leadership to both Customer and Datacom teams in the achievement of stated project deliverables.
  • for the transition of new customers and services for existing customers into Managed Services as required.


Experience:


8 to 15 years overall. 5+ years in end to end project management


Qualification:


BE/ME/MSc/BTech in CS, CE, EE, IT or related
