Overview As a Program Manager II, you will safeguard catalog integrity and drive operational excellence by leading risk-focused technical programs, implementing scalable solutions, and managing high-priority launches. This role blends structured risk management with technical execution, requiring you to proactively identify gaps, deliver tactical fixes, and strengthen long-term controls.You will collaborate with engineering, risk, product, and legal teams to ensure automation systems operate reliably, risks are mitigated early, and customer trust is protected. This position is part of the Books Risk Operations Success and Engagement (ROSE) team, which protects our catalog against a wide range of content and regulatory risks.Key job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Monitor known and emerging risks.
- Measure the effectiveness of control solutions.
- Respond to escalations and inquiries with urgency and clarity.
- Develop mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Lead complex investigations, deep dives, and special projects.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with product managers, engineering, BI, business units, and legal teams globally.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to ensure program success.

About The Team
The team’s mission is to protect the Books catalog and customer experience by balancing automation efficiency with rigorous risk controls. We manage day-to-day workflows, respond to escalations, and ensure compliance safeguards are embedded into our systems. Beyond execution, the team continuously evolves processes and technology to stay ahead of emerging risks and regulatory requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
