Reporting to: Senior Program Manager (SPM) or City Director Directly Managing: Program Managers (PM) The Program Manager Coach coordinates and leads programmatic activity with a group of 4-8 Program Managers, thus ensuring progress toward Student outcomes, Fellow development, PM Development, and citywide culture. Responsibilities As a Program Manager Coach, you will work on: Inputting into the City Strategy in partnership with the Senior Program Manager/City Director towards a robust Program Implementation Plan, in alignment with the Program Playbook that includes clear goals, structures for monitoring and evaluation, Fellow Scope and sequence of training, and Program Staff support. Driving the vision of excellence for Student learning and Fellow leadership for their PMs aligned to our Leadership Development Journey. Designing and implementing an ecosystem of support for Program Managers towards accelerating Student and Fellow development in consultation with the Senior Program Manager/City Director. Communicating with Fellows and Staff Members frequently and consistently, delivering messages that are aligned with regional strategy and organizational culture. Leading city-based projects/tracks and builds capacity in Program Managers and Fellows based on regional priorities. Working closely with the central Training and Impact Team - as well as Senior Managers from other regions - to share best practices and collectively inform a national approach towards Student, Fellow, and Staff development. Playing a key role in one of two Training Institutes and Program Manager Inductions/ Tracks through the year. As a People Manager, you will work on: Building a robust pipeline of talent to lead the organization. Managing and coaching the team members to ambitious outcomes. Driving engagement, growth, and retention of team members. Engineering and overseeing a monitoring and evaluation system , coupled with strategic direction, to guide our abilities to continuously improve. As a Coach at Teach For India, you will work on: Contributing to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities. Driving internal alignment and support for Teach For India’s core Programs. Serving as an ambassador of Teach For India and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply. Supporting key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building. Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations Bachelor’s Degree. 4-7 years of full time professional experience. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a low-income school with a strong track record of building academics, values, mindsets, and pathways to opportunity with students. A minimum of 2 years of an instructional leadership role, with strong results in Fellow growth, student growth, team culture, training effectiveness and school partner investment. Experience of managing and coaching small, high-performing teams to achieving ambitious outcomes. End-to-end project management experience (from vision setting to execution). Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
