Job Description Key Accountabilities The Program Extension Associate will play a pivotal role in coordinating, implementing, and managing day-to-day field operations of the SARAL project at the local level. This position bridges operational execution and strategic oversight, working closely with the Program Lead, community mobilisers, and local stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely implementation. Field-Level Planning and Implementation Develop context-specific action plans in alignment with project objectives and support their implementation in coordination with the Program Lead and field team. Lead the execution of daily program activities in project villages and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Budget & Administration Management Manage the local-level budget in accordance with project financial guidelines. Maintain financial discipline, verify documentation, and ensure timely submission of receipts and expenditure reports. Ensure compliance with procurement and administrative protocols at the field level. Logistics and Operational Coordination Oversee local logistics, including arrangements for trainings, meetings, procurement of materials, and distribution activities. Ensure timely availability and safekeeping of program materials and assets at the local level. Staff and Volunteer Supervision Provide field-level supervision, mentoring, and support to Community Mobilisers and volunteers. Facilitate effective team functioning and coordination to achieve project outputs efficiently. Representation and Coordination Represent Caritas India in local-level coordination meetings with Panchayats, civil society groups, and local authorities as required. Build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders at the district and block levels. Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting Monitor progress of program activities regularly and share timely updates with the Program Lead. Assist in the collection and verification of field data, photos, reports, and success stories. Support in preparing progress reports and documentation as per donor and organizational requirements. Capacity Building and Participation Participate in trainings, orientation programs, and project review meetings organized by Caritas India or partners. Facilitate knowledge transfer to community groups and field teams. Asset and Security Management Ensure the security, maintenance, and accountability of all materials, documents, and program assets in the field. Salary Rs. 25000/- CTC per month Function Area Targeting over 10,000 individuals (3,485 households) in 30 vulnerable villages, the project promotes resilient livelihoods, disaster mitigation infrastructure, inclusive disaster risk reduction (DRR), and governance strengthening. Role To strategize, plan, implement & monitor the day-to-day project activities for achieving the program objective as well as act as the main liaison point between the community and project team. The Community mobilizer will be responsible for the overall smooth implementation of the program and operation’s activities at the community level. Location : Assam: Lakhimpur, Dhemaji Bihar: Purba Champaran, Supaul Tripura: Gomti, Dhalai Experience Master’s Degree or Equivalent Degree with 2-3 years of work experience in social science sector ideally in a similar role with substantial exposure to program management and related matters on field level. In-depth understanding of WASH, Humanitarian Aid (HA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is required. KeySkills Preferably proven familiarity with development/ NGOs project operations Knowledge and proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications Skilled in field level communication and representation (written oral cross-cultural) Reporting and Documentation skills Ability to multitask.
