Associate Public Relations and Communications

The role of an Associate at Caritas India involves working in the field of strategic communication, media and stakeholder relations, content creation, digital engagement, event coordination, monitoring and reporting, graphic design, video production, and capacity building. You will be responsible for coordinating with program teams to collect content, data, and insights from field activities, crafting and disseminating communication materials like press releases, newsletters, and digital content. You will also build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and community leaders to secure positive media coverage. In addition, you will create data-driven collaterals such as videos, social media posts, and infographics, manage the organization's website and social media platforms, and organize events such as press conferences and community outreach activities. Monitoring social media performance, preparing communication reports, creating visual content for digital and print media, and training program staff on effective communication practices are also part of the role. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Media, Design, Marketing, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of work experience in the communication domain and not-for-profit space. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English, proficiency in Hindi and/or regional languages, hands-on experience with social media and website tools, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of design tools are required. A passion for social justice, development, and humanitarian causes, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in design tools and video editing software are also desired qualities.
