About the Role:
Lead and support field teams to ensure high-quality program implementation, data collection, and capacity building, while driving continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
Role Expectations:
- Lead and support both in-person and virtual training programs for teachers and trainers to strengthen pedagogical capacities, with a focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
- Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to design and adapt grade-specific, localized curricula and teaching-learning materials, ensuring alignment with the socio-cultural context of the state.
- Lead and manage a dedicated team of Field Supervisors across the state, overseeing reporting, coordination, data completion, training, and providing need-based support to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor field team performance, share constructive feedback, and implement capacity-building strategies to enhance team effectiveness and accountability.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation, ensure fidelity to guidelines, and support continuous improvement based on on-ground realities.
- Address implementation challenges in real time, escalate critical issues as needed, and drive timely, effective resolutions in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent implementation of the program across all assigned districts, tracking progress against set milestones, quality standards, and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to facilitate accurate, high-quality data collection and support implementation of evidence-driven program activities.
- Contribute to the development of performance dashboards and periodic reports to inform internal reviews, decision-making processes, and strategy refinement.
Qualifications, Experience & Characteristics:
- Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Design Education, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in education, training, or curriculum design.
- Exposure to Social Emotional Learning, mental health, psycho-social development, or psychology is highly preferable.
- Prior experience working with children or youth is highly preferable.
- Prior experience of working with and managing field staff is a strong plus.
- Characteristics:
- Comfortable using Canva, Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms).
- Fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken); knowledge of Bengali is mandatory.
- Strong interest in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), mental health, and psychosocial development.
- A self-starter who acts with urgency and can find effective solutions to complex challenges.
- Detail-oriented, curious, and excited by working with large datasets to derive meaningful insights.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and being on-ground to support programs and research.
- Open to experimentation, learning, and collaboration in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.
- Deeply committed to integrity, transparency, and trust in both process and relationships.
