Production Manager

Job Title: Production Manager – FMCG Industry
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Location: Raipur
Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Job Summary:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and achieving production targets within cost, quality, and time parameters. The role requires leadership, planning, and coordination skills to drive continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning & Execution
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet business objectives.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Monitor daily production output against set targets.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to maintain consistent product quality.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for deviations.
• Team Management
• Lead, train, and motivate production staff to achieve high performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain discipline on the shop floor.
• Conduct performance reviews and skill development initiatives.
• Process Improvement & Cost Control
• Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other productivity improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and control wastage, downtime, and production costs.
• Drive automation and process efficiency.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Collaborate with Procurement, Maintenance, QA, and Supply Chain teams for smooth operations.
• Prepare and present production reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in FMCG production/manufacturing,
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO, Food Safety Standards, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in automation, packaging lines, and high-speed FMCG production units preferred.
