Production Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management
• Plan, schedule, and manage daily production operations to achieve output targets.
• Oversee end-to-end FRK production — from raw material feeding to finished product packaging.
• Ensure production as per defined quality standards, formulations, and fortification norms (FSSAI compliance).
• Process Optimization
• Continuously monitor machine efficiency and process flow.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for higher yield and lower wastage.
• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules are followed.
• Team Leadership
• Lead and manage production supervisors, operators, and shift staff.
• Conduct regular training sessions to improve team performance and safety practices.
• Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.
• Quality & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO, and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate with the QC lab for batch testing and documentation.
• Maintain all production records, batch reports, and traceability logs.
• Plant Administration
• Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Maintain stock of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts in coordination with the stores team.
• Ensure plant hygiene, 5S implementation, and compliance with safety norms.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with management, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams for smooth operations.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.
• Contribute to strategic decisions for capacity expansion and process automation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in food processing / extrusion / rice fortification / ready-to-eat products manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of extrusion technology, mixing systems, dryers, and packaging machines.
• Knowledge of FRK production line, iron and vitamin fortification process.
• Proficiency in production planning, manpower handling, and process optimization.
• Soft Skills: Leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and team coordination.
