Job Title: Production Engineer Location : Atlas Transformers India Limited(Por,Gidc) Experience Preferred : 1 Year in Transformers Industry Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes in our transformer production unit. The candidate will ensure smooth operations, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to continuous process improvements in the production of power and distribution transformers. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts and customer requirements. Supervise the assembly of transformer components such as core, coil winding, tanking, and final assembly. Monitor process flow to ensure production targets and deadlines are met efficiently. Process Optimization: Analyze production data to identify areas for cost reduction and improved efficiency. Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma practices. Collaborate with the design and quality teams for process enhancements. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (IEC, IS, ANSI, etc.) and internal quality control measures. Coordinate with the QA/QC department to address defects and initiate corrective/preventive actions. Technical Support: Resolve technical issues during the manufacturing process. Interpret engineering drawings, technical specs, and ensure compliance in production. Team Management: Guide and supervise shop-floor technicians and workers. Conduct regular training on safety, quality, and process improvements. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, downtime, and performance metrics. Generate production reports for management review. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. 2–5 years of experience in transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment production. Sound knowledge of transformer components, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Proficient in ERP systems, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and MS Office tools. Skills & Competencies: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and leadership abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
