This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 1600000 (ie INR 10-16 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional for the role of Product Stewardship - EHS Specialist . The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems (EHSMS) , ensuring safe operation and maintenance of the plant, and managing product stewardship initiatives in alignment with national and international regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of hazardous materials handling, TDG (Transport of Dangerous Goods) classification, labeling, packaging, and registration of products, as well as deep experience with EHSMS implementation and auditing. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHSMS across the site, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory EHS standards. Monitor and evaluate EHS aspects and impacts related to the operation and maintenance of the plant, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action planning. Drive a culture of safety and environmental responsibility through employee training, engagement, and regular audits. Ensure compliance with applicable national and international product stewardship regulations, including REACH, GHS, TDG, OSHA, and other regulatory frameworks. Maintain detailed records and documentation for product classification, safety data sheets (SDS), product labels, packaging requirements, and product registration. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to stay updated on evolving EHS and product stewardship laws and standards. Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections and develop strategies to address identified gaps. Support emergency response and environmental incident management processes. Key Skills & Competencies: Proven experience in EHSMS implementation, maintenance, and auditing in a manufacturing or process plant environment. Strong knowledge of product stewardship requirements, including TDG classification, labeling, packaging, and chemical product registration. Deep understanding of national and international EHS and product stewardship regulations (e.g., OSHA, GHS, REACH, CLP, etc.). Familiarity with operation and maintenance practices in a chemical/industrial plant setting. Strong documentation and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory texts to operational settings. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments with strong communication and training skills. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field. Additional certifications in EHS, Product Safety, or Regulatory Compliance are a plus. 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in EHS and product stewardship in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
