Position Title - Product Manager - Dermatology

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Brand Manager for the assigned brand in India is a highly strategic role. You will be the P&L owner of the brand's marketing strategy and execution, responsible for building brands equity among Indian dermatologists and simultaneously driving commercial success. This role requires a blend of scientific acumen, strategic planning, and commercial agility to effectively market clinical-grade products to both Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and the end consumer. The ultimate goal is to establish the assigned brand as a leading expert brand in specified dermatological conditions within the Indian market.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A. Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement & Scientific Marketing (Rx Focus)
KOL Management:
Develop and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and high-prescribing Dermatologists. Drive scientific advocacy and integrate KOL insights into brand strategy.Medical Communication:
Develop scientifically rigorous and regulatory-compliant promotional materials (Visual Aids, LBLs, Samples) targeted at Dermatologists, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.Medical Education:
Plan and execute scientific events, Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, Advisory Boards and participate in national and regional Dermatology conferences (e.g., DERMACON).Field Force Training:
Conduct product and disease-area training for the Sales and Medical Representatives, ensuring high-quality scientific detailing and effective objection handling.
B. Brand Strategy, Planning, and P&L
Annual Operating Plan (AOP):
Develop and own the annual brand plan including sales forecasts, marketing budgets (A&M), strategic priorities and new product launch roadmaps.Budget Management:
Effectively allocate and monitor the marketing budget across scientific, digital and trade channels to maximize brand growth and profitability.Execution:
Rx strategy and execution with HCP’s and productivity, new launch success and trials in HCPs.Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact for the key brand partners, collaborating on strategic goals and ensuring a cohesive approach to brand development.
C. Financial Management:
Own and drive the achievement of sales targets and key business objectives for the brand portfolio.- Plan, budget, and obtain approval for all marketing activities, ensuring a high return on investment (ROI).
- Monitor and control promotional expenses to maximize the utilization of available resources.
D. Sales, Cross-Functional Collaboration and Agency Management:
- Partner with the sales team to ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging is delivered in the field.
- Develop and lead product training sessions and promotional campaigns for the sales force.
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams (including Supply Chain, Finance and Business Intelligence) to ensure a seamless product launch process and overall business efficiency.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support brand objectives. Meet HCPs regularly
- Ensure partner agencies are fully aligned to brand plans and working towards delivering the business objectives for the year
- Drive the product launch process, from initial strategy and planning to sales force training and post-launch performance analysis.
- Develop new approaches and creative promotional campaigns to enhance product visibility and appeal.

Derma Expertise:

Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate in pharmacy or science with a post-graduation in management.
- 3 to 4 years of proven experience in product management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience within a multinational corporation (MNC) is preferred, a background in Dermatology is a strong plus.
- Experience of handling partner brands/partner relationships is preferred.
