Roles and Responsibilities :

What will you be doing?

As part of the India Kitchen Appliances design team, you are crafting beautiful looking appliances that people love to own and are delightful to use.

You are responsible for:

• Supporting multiple projects and strategic initiatives of the Kitchen Appliances business program for the Philips and Preethi brand.
• Supporting the industrial design activities and delivering relevant output on time and with quality throughout the full Product Development Model from project initiation to product launch.
• Occasionally leading smaller projects or new initiatives, depending on complexity and skillset

requirements.

• Supporting consumer and competitor research to identify user needs and design

opportunities to create value and differentiation.

• Ideating and conceptualizing solutions through sketching, CAD modeling, prototyping,

visualization and storytelling.

• Applying design language guidelines to maintain brand consistency.
• Teaming up with designers from different disciplines and with project team members from

marketing, R&D and other relevant functions.

• Reviewing prototypes and production samples and deliver feedback documentations to

ensure design intents are implemented.

What relevant experience, skills and mindset are desired for this role?

We are looking for someone that has the following qualities:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in industrial design or related education
• 2-5 years' relevant experience in home appliances or consumer electronics, with a great sense of aesthetics, proportions, detailing and usability.
• Solid knowledge of design for manufacturing and manufacturing processes to ensure that your designs are feasible and cost effective to realize
• Solid craft of design skills, including hand or digital sketching, prototyping, CAD modeling (Rhino) and rendering (Keyshot)

• Professional, independent, pro-active, eager to learn and improve with a collaborative and can-do mindset
• Bringing fresh and bold ideas to the team
• Willing to travel to prototype/model makers, suppliers and exhibitions
• Strong narrative ability in verbal and written communication in English, with strong influencing and persuading skills to manage stakeholders through robust discussions and impactful presentations.
