Job Description

As a Planner/Buyer at Revvity located in Mumbai, your primary role involves coordinating activities related to purchasing and planning goods, services, and commodities essential for the organization. You will be responsible for planning and procuring OEM or manufactured products for the assigned product portfolio, as well as raw materials, equipment, tools, and other items necessary for the entire organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize ERP system, particularly SAP and SAP/APO, to develop short-term and long-term production plans. - Maintain forecast performance and stock levels at local and international forward stocking sites. - Purchase materials according to business guidelines, maintain vendor masters, and evaluate supplier performance. - Review purchase requisitions and ERP output for accuracy and approvals. - Collaborate with suppliers to obtain product/service information, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery. - Interact with internal customers, such as Product Managers and Customer Care, to resolve order status, discrepancies, and schedule changes. - Manage Pcards for invoicing approvals and coordinate defective/returned materials with suppliers and Quality Assurance. - Coordinate office supply ordering and replenishment. - Generate and distribute reports related to inventory, open purchase orders, and suppliers. - Develop and maintain reports and databases supporting various business functions. - Possess analytical and computer skills to analyze data and generate structured reports. **Additional Responsibilities:** - Review licensing requirements and perform other tasks related to material procurement and vendor needs. - Travel to vendor locations or other Revvity sites when necessary. - Cross-train in different areas as required. **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred, with 1-3 years of related experience. - 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in life sciences. - Proficiency in report writing, business correspondence, and purchase specifications. - Strong time management skills and commitment to customer excellence. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP/Oracle, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Desire to contribute meaningfully to a fast-growing business. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Demonstrated analytical skills and effective communication across various audiences. - Experience in driving continuous improvement efforts for optimized efficiency. - Strong project management skills using tools like MS Project or Excel. - Comfortable working in a global, matrix environment with attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and resolve conflicts constructively.
