Position Overview

Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, source, and procure materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare request for quotations (RFQs), evaluate bids, and conduct comparative analysis.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and the accounts department for approvals and payments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and government procurement regulations.
• Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities and vendor performance.
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, machinery, and local supplier markets.
• Familiarity with tendering, bid evaluation, and contract documentation processes.

• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP-based procurement systems.
• High degree of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
