Role Overview

Role Name:Manager/AM - Procurement

Reporting to: Senior Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager – Raw Materials & Commodities is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring critical raw materials and commodities required for production at optimal cost, quality, and delivery timelines. This role ensures supply continuity, builds strong vendor relationships, monitors market trends, and mitigates risks related to price volatility and supply chain disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the procurement strategy for key raw materials and commodities.
• Source raw materials with focus on quality, cost, and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Track market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform procurement decisions.
• Ensure inventory levels align with production plans and avoid stockouts.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs like delivery time and rejection rates.
• Identify and onboard alternate suppliers for risk mitigation.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in supply chain, Food Tech, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 7-14 years in procurement, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Strong in planning and coordination with supplier.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Understanding of food safety, packaging specs, and shelf-life impacts.
• Detail-oriented with strong commercial acumen.
