Procurement Engineer

Description

We are seeking a diligent Procurement Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience to join our procurement team. As a Procurement Engineer, you will collaborate with various departments, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to identify procurement needs and develop effective sourcing strategies. Your expertise in engineering principles and understanding of market trends will be essential in evaluating supplier capabilities, negotiating contracts, and securing competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

· Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

· Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to maximize cost savings.

· Monitor and analyze market trends to inform purchasing decisions.

· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to determine material and service needs.

· Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to final delivery.

· Assess supplier performance through regular reviews and audits.

· Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Design Engineering, or related field.

· Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. People having worked for similar role in a Filter /Hydraulic Manufacturing company will be given preference.

· Strong understanding of engineering principles and product specifications.

· Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor interactions.

· Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Microsoft D365 will be added advantage.
