Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on available plans, specifications, and historical data.
  • Tender Preparation: Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders, including reviewing contract documents and analyzing project requirements.
  • Material and Labor Estimation: Quantify the materials, labor, and equipment required for each project phase and calculate associated costs.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gain a better understanding of the site conditions, identifying any potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Cost Analysis: Evaluate historical project data, vendor quotes, and market trends to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the project team, including engineers, architects, and suppliers, to gather relevant project details and cost information.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to costs, resources, and schedules, and propose strategies to mitigate them.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Monitor project budgets and provide updated estimates throughout the project lifecycle to ensure cost control.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed reports on cost estimates, including any variances from original estimates and recommendations for adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in cost estimation within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, or similar tools).
  • Solid understanding of project tendering and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Estimation or Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS, AACE).
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and contract law.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time office-based position with occasional site visits.
  • Flexible working hours may be required, particularly during project tendering phases.
  • Some travel may be required for site inspections or meetings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,253.54 - ₹35,157.59 per month
