Role & responsibilities Responsibilities Research potential vendors Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions. Compare and evaluate offers from vendors. Negotiate pricing. Review quality of purchased products and resolve shortcomings. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses. Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. Preferred candidate profile Requirements and skills Proven work experience as a Purchasing Specialist. Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Understanding of supply chain procedures Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Import Procurement or IT hardware products knowledge is an added advantage Perks and benefits
