Job Description

The Principal serves as the academic and administrative head of the K–12 school and is responsible for setting the vision, tone, and direction of the institution. The role involves providing leadership in curriculum implementation, staff management, student discipline, parent engagement, and school operations to ensure holistic development and academic excellence for all students.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership

  • Lead the development and implementation of the school’s academic vision.
  • Ensure curriculum delivery across all grades (Kindergarten to Grade 12) aligns with CBSE board standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Monitor academic outcomes and drive student performance enhancement programs.

Administrative & Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the school, including timetabling, supervision, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with board regulations, safety standards, and school policies.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and infrastructure planning in collaboration with the administrative team.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for inspections, accreditations, and affiliations.

Faculty Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Foster professional development through workshops, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and accountability within staff teams.

Student Development

  • Create and monitor programs that support student well-being, behavior, discipline, and leadership.
  • Support inclusive education practices, differentiated instruction, and co-curricular excellence.
  • Promote life skills, values education, and career guidance initiatives.

Parent & Community Engagement

  • Establish transparent and effective communication with parents through meetings, reports, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, alumni, and local community members.
  • Represent the school at public events, educational forums, and external stakeholder meetings.

Strategic Planning & Vision Execution

  • Collaborate with school management to define long-term goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive innovation in pedagogy, technology integration, and school culture.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for school growth and development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree (mandatory)
  • B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory)
  • Minimum 15–20 years of teaching experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role (Vice Principal / Principal / / Academic Director)
  • Strong understanding of K-12 education systems and curriculum frameworks (CBSE)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹150,000.00 per month
