Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a PPC Head, located in Sadar. The PPC Head will be responsible for overseeing the planning, management, and coordination of production activities to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. The role involves managing market planning, conducting market research, executing marketing strategies, handling public relations, and driving sales efforts to achieve organizational goals. Daily tasks include monitoring production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and collaborating with various departments to maintain product quality and delivery timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with customer demand, sales forecast, and capacity.
  • Ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) and Lean manufacturing practices are followed.
  • Balance production load across machines, lines, and shifts.
  1. Inventory & Material Management

  • Optimize raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain & Procurement teams for timely availability of material.
  • Implement systems to reduce excess inventory and obsolescence.
  1. Customer Delivery & Coordination

  • Ensure 100% on-time delivery (OTD) to OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
  • Liaise with Sales, Dispatch, and Customer Service teams for delivery commitments.
  1. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop the PPC team for effective planning and execution.
  • Build capability in using ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle, etc.).
  1. Process Improvement & Control

  • Drive Lean, Kaizen, and automation initiatives for planning efficiency.
  • Monitor key KPIs: Production Adherence, OEE, Inventory Turnover, Delivery Performance.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to minimize downtime and bottlenecks.
  1. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and control departmental budgets.
  • Reduce cost of poor planning (expedites, line stoppages, premium freight).





Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • MBA in Operations / Supply Chain (desirable).
  • 12–18 years of experience in Production Planning & Control, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role in the automotive industry.
